"Sherlock and Larie" PL, pt.2

Mrs. Larie Grimes, Lieutenant Sherlock Grimes,
Posted on 202006.27
Sherlock looked at Larie.  She was hiding behind her hair again and that annoyed him a little.  “Larie, how about if I show you that you can trust me.” He asked her.

She looked up at him quickly, actually looking into his face.  He had something on his face, over his eye. It was kind of like what was on his hand.  She was curious, but she wasn’t going to ask about it. When she saw his eyes, she quickly looked down again, blushing a deep green.  “How?” She asked in a bare whisper.

Sherlock smiled.  He was able to see her whole face that time, even her eyes.  Her eyes were very expressive. He kept his voice gentle. “Turn your back to me, Larie.  I promise, nothing bad will happen.”

Larie looked at him again, fear in her face as plain as her skin was green.  She looked at Mardel then and saw that she was calm. She trusted Mardel and if Mardel was okay with what Sherlock was asking, then she would try and see what would happen.  Slowly, she turned her back on Sherlock and took both of Mardel’s hands and held them tightly. She looked at Mardel in the eye and bit her lip as she waited.

Sherlock smiled at the trust she showed him.  Gently, he reached out and carefully braided her hair, but he had nothing to tie it off with.  Mardel offered him a scarf and he took it and made it work. When the braid was finished, he touched her soft, silky, hair again very lightly.  “There, all done.” He said, wondering what Larie’s reaction would be.

Larie slowly turned back to Sherlock, surprise on her face.  “You braided my hair?” She said incredulously. Of all the things she thought he would do that wasn’t anywhere on the list.

Sherlock smiled at her.  “Yes, I did. I showed you that you can be touched by someone you don’t know and it won’t hurt you and they won’t try to grab you.”  He explained to her. Then he took a chance because the surprise on her face was just too much to resist. He quickly kissed her nose.

Larie backed away from him and bumped into Mardel.  “You kissed me.” She accused him, her eyes indignant as she glared at him.  Mardel couldn’t believe it, Sherlock was actually drawing her out and Mardel was going to let him.  She kept quiet and just watched them, giving Larie the support she thought she needed. “Why did you kiss me?”  She demanded of Sherlock.

“I didn’t kiss you, Larie.  I just gave you a peck on the nose.”  He explained, curious now about the hidden depth of fire he saw in Larie.  If he could draw her all the way out, she would be a hellion, he liked that idea.  He wanted to see how far he could go.

“Yes, you did kiss me.”  She said. “When your lips touch another person, it is a kiss.  Yes, it was more like a kiss we would give the littles back in the clans, but it was still a kiss.”  She was adamant on that point. She turned to Mardel. “It was a kiss. Tell him.”

Mardel chuckled.  “You are doing just fine, Larie.  You tell him.” Mardel couldn’t believe it.  It was looking more and more like Sherlock might just be the one person who could make Larie shine.

Sherlock smiled and shared a look with Mardel and saw her humor at Larie’s anger and decided he had her blessing to continue a friendship with her sister.  “It isn’t a real kiss, Larie. It’s just a sign of affection.” He tried to explain.

She crossed her arms and looked at him.  “Then what do you call a real kiss?” She demanded.

Sherlock wasn’t quite sure what to do.  He looked at Mardel. Mardel held up her hands. “Don’t look at me, Sherlock.  You started this, you have to finish it.” Sherlock shrugged and then looked at Larie. He looked at her lips and smiled.  This wasn’t how he wanted this to happen, but since it had, he wasn’t going to be asked twice to kiss her. He leaned in and softly kissed her lips.

Larie looked at him when he was done.  “You don’t do it right.” She said simply.  “If you really do mean to kiss, then I will show you how to do it right.”  She then leaned up and pulled his head down to hers. She caressed his face until she felt the muscles relax and then she slowly pressed her lips to his, when she felt him stiffen up, she caressed him again until he relaxed again.  She slowly licked his lips until his lips parted then she slipped her tongue into his mouth and caressed the inside of his mouth with her tongue. She kept her hands on his face, keeping him relaxed. Slowly, she pulled back from him and looked at him.  “That is how you kiss the right way.”
