"Sherlock and Larie" JL pt.3

Mrs. Larie Grimes, Lieutenant Sherlock Grimes,
Posted on 202006.27
He blinked and looked at her.  “That is what I did, but without the tongue.”  He said. He wondered if she had used her pheromones on him to make him enjoy the kiss so much.  “But I did it without the pheromones.”

He wasn’t mistaken, real heat was in her eyes when they flashed with anger.  “I didn’t use any pheromones, Sherlock. That wouldn’t be right. And what you did and what I did was two very different things.  The first time you were stiff, it was like kissing a rock. I made you relax by touch and then I kissed you, as it should be done.”  She told him firmly.

He smiled at her.  He noticed when Mardel had left, but she hadn’t.  He wondered when she would notice that she was alone with just him and what her reaction would be.  Then he noticed two men paying close attention to Larie and he saw the weapons they were trying to keep hidden from view.  What was with station security letting all these weapons on the station. He would have to look into it. He stood suddenly and caught the first of the two men across the throat and tossed him over the half wall to land hard on a table on the other side.  The second managed to slice open his arm, but he knocked out the second one and grabbed Larie’s hand and led her from the bar and quickly down the corridor to the turbolift and then inside the lift. He didn’t see the two men and then the doors closed and he gave the deck he wanted to go to.

Larie was shaking she was so afraid.  When had Mardel left them? Sherlock had just saved her from those hunters.  She clung to his hand with both of hers and kept pressed against him like she was glued to him.  Then she noticed he was bleeding and frowned. “You saved me?” She said softly, curiously. “You were hurt, protecting me.”  She said with wonder in her voice.

“Of course I saved you.  Don’t worry about it, it will heal.”  He said, looking at the slice in his arm and then was shocked when she kissed it gently.  No one had ever done that for him before, not since he was a child. He softly touched her hair and lifted her face to his.  “Really, Larie, it’s okay.”

“I will heal you, when we are safe.”  She promised. She was just glad she had her healing plants with her.  A few humma leaves and he would be just fine in a matter of moments. Then she noticed they were in a small room that felt like it was moving.  Before she could say anything, doors opened and more people were walking around outside of those doors. She grabbed his hand and held it in both of hers and pressed herself tightly against Sherlock again.

He looked down at Larie and smiled.  She really was tiny pressed up against him like a child.  He could feel her trembling in fear and hurried to his quarters on the station and let them both inside and then locked the door behind them.  “It’s okay, Larie. No one can get in here. We are safe now.” He said it a few times until she calmed down a little.

Larie heard him and looked around, making sure that no one could come out and surprise them.  When she felt safe, she moved him to the end of the bed she saw in a different area through a passage.  She made his sit down and removed his shirt. She saw he had something on his chest the same as his face and hand.  Maybe when she had healed him, he would tell her about them.

She pulled the humma from her pouch and crushed the leaves in her hands to get the sap flowing.  Then she held them against the slice in his arm and breathed on them. She watched as the bleeding stopped and then dried up.  She held the leaves there another minute before using them to wipe away the dried blood on his arm, leaving only a faint line where the slice happened.

“Where can I put the used leaves?”  She asked him. He pointed to the recycler.  She went to the slot in the wall and pushed them into the hole and watched them get sucked away.  Then she went back to him and sat down next to him. Thank you, Sherlock, for saving me.” She said softly.

He had noticed she had a lot of scars on her back when he was braiding her hair, now he also saw some on her hands and feet.  He wondered where she got them. She didn’t strike him as the accident prone type, but he could be wrong. “You are welcome, Larie.”  He said.

She looked at him and traced the scars on his check around his implant.  “What are these?” She asked as she lightly touched the implant on his chest and then at his brow and again on his hand.

Sherlock watched her touch his implants and wondered what she made of them.  “I got those when I was part of the borg. They are my implants.” He explained and watched her carefully.

Larie traced them all and the scars around them.  Then she looked into his eyes and smiled, her dimples coming out.  “Im plah ants” She said the unfamiliar word slowly. “They fit you, make you look somehow more frightening to the hunters.  But they don’t scare me.” She then caressed his face gently and looked at him carefully. “I like the way you look, Sherlock, all your scars and im plah ants and everything.”
