"Sherlock and Larie" JL pt.5

Mrs. Larie Grimes, Lieutenant Sherlock Grimes,
Posted on 202006.27
Sherlock wiped the tear away from her tenderly and lifted her face to look at her.  “I’m sorry you lost your friend, Larie. Jolia sounds like she was a wonderful person.” He said softly.  Then he kissed her again. “Have you always been so accident prone?” He asked.

She looked at him with a slight frown on her face.  “I am not accident prone, Sherlock. But like others, I do need to learn and sometimes learning comes with pain.”  She stated with some dignity. She then looked around, the same puzzled frown on her face. “Where do you put waste?”  She asked, still looking around. There didn’t seem to be any collection pots or any other place that seemed right for such things.  “Back in the clans, the solid waste is gathered and aged to be used in the gardens to feed the soil. The liquid waste is collected and used to cure the hides for furs to make protective coverings and for sleeping on.”  She explained.

Sherlock was a little confused when she asked about waste and then realized she needed to go to the bathroom.  He was a little amused as she explained how they used bodily waste in the clans. “This way.” He led the way into the bathroom and showed her the toilet.  He demonstrated how to flush when she was done and showed her how to use the cleansing spray if she wanted or the wipes if she preferred. The frown on her face cleared as he showed her what to do.  He figured that frown was her trying to figure things out. He was starting to get the feeling she could be very stubborn about things and they kind of person who liked to figure things out on her own.  He then left her alone as she dropped her furs on the ground and sat on the toilet.

Larie was glad to be out of the furs, she didn’t like wearing them if she didn’t have to.  Back home, in the clans, she only wore furs when she was going into certain parts of the jungle.  Mardel had told her she had to wear the furs when around other people, she complained but Mardel then asked her if she wanted the hunters to get her and she immediately put on her furs.  Here though, where it was just her and Sherlock, she didn’t feel she needed to wear them. She finished emptying her waste into the toilet and used the spray to clean herself. Then she went to a basin in a shelf and looked at it.  It looked like it was a place for washing, but how did one get water to come? She waved her hand around, looking and was startled when the water just came. She quickly put her hands in the flow and washed them. A slippery liquid came out and she put some on her hands and rubbed it until thick bubbled appeared on her hand.  She giggled at that and then rinsed off the bubbles.

When she was finished, she gathered her furs and carefully folded them and went back to the sleeping room and found a shelf to put the furs on.  She then stretched out slowly, getting every muscle group. She turned and faced Sherlock and smiled at him. He was looking at her in a way that she had always dreamed one of the males would look at her, but never did.  She moved slowly to the bed and laid down on her stomach, bending her knees, swinging her feet in the air.

“Back in the clans,” She began as she watched him.  “When we see someone we desire, we have a saying that we use to express interest in the other person.  ‘Take what you desire.’ It is understood that you are offering with an open heart and a willingness to give and receive pleasure and affection.”  She explained to Sherlock. Then she looked into his eyes and whispered to him. “Take what you desire.”

Sherlock was a little surprised when she came out of the bathroom naked.  He was right, her body was as beautiful as he had imagined. When she moved to the bed he felt himself responding to his appreciation of Larie.  He listened as she explained how things worked in her culture and smiled. He was more than willing. He gathered her to him and kissed her.

The next morning, Sherlock woke to a soft kiss and slowly opened his eyes.  He had fallen asleep with Larie curled in his arms and she was still there. He kissed her gently with a smile.  “Good Morning, Larie.” He remembered the night before, he had shown her pizza when she had expressed hunger and then she had wanted to try some ice cream that Mardel had told her about.  It was funny watching her learn the new food, the expressions on her face of delight and wonderment. He was teaching her about everything away from Orion as she was teaching him about Orion.  Things that had puzzled those in the Federation for a long time, things the Orion people kept private and secret. He felt warm inside knowing that she trusted him enough to be herself and not cower all the time.

Larie smiled when she woke in Sherlock’s arms.  This was something that never would have happened on Orion.  Males and females didn’t live together in the same clans, ever.  Both were too strong willed to give in when disagreements happened and before the time of the Great Wise Ones, there was a lot of killing between the two genders.  But the Great Wise Ones made the decree that the males and females would live apart and only come together in the jungles to create offspring. The females would raise all the littles until puberty, teaching them in the ways of Orion, and then the males would be given to the male clans and the females would stay with the other females.  They kept the clans from getting too large by saying that only ten to fifty hundreds of males or females would live in each clan so they would be harder to find by the offworlders who hunted their race. Each clan claimed different territory on Orion and once a sun cycle, all the Wise Ones from each clan met at Legend Rock to speak of things that affected all of Orion and her people.

“Good morning, Sherlock.”  She purred at him and wrapped her arms tightly around him and kissed him again.  “Last night was wonderful. Thank you.”

Kissing her nose, he smiled.  “You don’t have to keep thanking me, Larie.  It was my pleasure and it is my pleasure.” He was getting a little tired at her constant gratitude, he wasn’t used to it.

That slight puzzling frown appeared on her face again.  “You don’t follow politeness and thank those that have shared themselves with you?”  It was so confusing to her, all these new rules to learn and live by.

Sherlock smiled when he understood what she meant.  He kissed her nose again, it was such a cute little nose.  “Yes, we are polite, Larie. But you don’t have to keep thanking me for everything.  I understand your smiles and that is all I need.” He watched as her puzzled frown was there as she thought about what he said.  Then the frown cleared and she smiled at him.

“Okay, I will do my best to remember that you don’t want to be thanked for everything.”  She then looked at his chest and drew small circles around his implant, over his heart. “Sherlock, am I going to stay with you?  I mean, when you leave this place and go wherever it is you go to? Or, do I have to go back to Mardel and home?” She asked, really hoping she didn’t have to leave Sherlock.  She wanted to always be with him, another thing that never happened in the clans, well until Mardel chose a lifetime mate with Daniel.
